When the Covid-19 crisis began in the spring of 2020, Natalie DiBattista saw an opportunity to help the industry she has always loved…
As the daughter of two immigrants from Colombia, Natalie grew up in the world of hospitality. Her first job was working in her parent’s bakery in Boston; where she learned the importance of a strong work ethic. She became a beverage manager at the highly regarded Biba Restaurant at the age of 19 before going on to work at several other established eateries in the city, including Lucca North End and The Federalist at the XV Beacon hotel.
After moving to Philadelphia in 2004, Natalie worked for Starr Restaurant Group for several years, becoming a general manager and assisting with openings. From there she opened the Red Owl Tavern at the Kimpton Monaco Hotel before continuing her career with the Schulson Collective as the Director of Operations.
Natalie then ventured out to help the Defined Hospitality team open Condesa at the POD Hotel and it was there that she finally realized her true passion: The “chaos of an opening,” along with helping to train a team and create a positive company culture wherever she goes. Most recently and just prior to the Covid-19 Pandemic, she took on the roll as Director of Operations for the Philly Live! Casino.
